tmcleroy's CPS-2 Recomp hit v1.0.0 on Oct 29: unofficial native ports of Capcom's CPS-2 arcade games (and one CPS-1 game) for Windows, macOS, Linux (Steam Deck and ARM64 included) and Android, in one download with one launcher. Each game's program is translated ahead of time into C++ and runs on a machine written for the project, not an emulator. The README lists Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha, Street Fighter Alpha 2 (with team battle and four-player Marvel-style 2-vs-2 tag) and Street Fighter Zero 2 Alpha among the supported games, and the fighters add a full training mode with hit boxes, input display and frame meter, online play with rollback, widescreen, new modes, a model viewer and a colour editor. Each game only works with one named arcade ROM set. It follows several beta builds this week and joins the Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix recomp already on the wire.
