Dino Crisis - Modern Edition by Rotmill is a fan mod of Capcom's 1999 PS1 survival horror game that rebuilds it from your own disc into a native Windows program. Setup reads your disc image, recompiles the game's code to C and builds it on your PC together with the mod, so no game code ships in the download. It adds an over-the-shoulder camera and modern controls in the style of the Resident Evil remakes, shadows, ambient occlusion and anti-aliasing, facial animation and lip sync, 16:9 to 32:9 widescreen, up to 4K and 30 to 1000 FPS, full remapping, and a mods folder with a companion Studio tool for swapping characters, rooms, textures and sounds. v1.05 landed Oct 26, the third release in four days. It sits alongside the RE1 PC decomp and RE3 PS1 recomp already on the wire.
