FalloutCraft: play Fallout 4 as a Minecraft player

FalloutCraft lets you play Fallout 4 as a Minecraft player. Fallout draws the world, collision and characters, while Minecraft, running hidden in the background, handles your movement, inventory, hearts and hunger, building and combat. So you can sprint through Sanctuary with Minecraft physics, build a base of blocks on top of Red Rocket and fight raiders with a diamond sword, while your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats make Steve faster, stronger or tougher. Neither game is rewritten: a Fallout 4 plugin and a Minecraft mod talk through shared memory, using the same idea as chasmlol's SkyCraft for Skyrim, which it is built on. v0.1.3 added a NeoForge 1.21.1 build, so other Minecraft mods can come along too. The creator calls it early and experimental, so back up your saves.

You need: Your own copy of Fallout 4 (Steam, tested on runtime 1.11.240; the old-gen 1.10.163 isn't supported) and your own copy of Minecraft: Java Edition, plus F4SE, the Address Library for F4SE Plugins and JDK 25.

How to play

1. Install F4SE and the Address Library in Fallout 4.
2. Download the Fallout 4 zip and the Minecraft mod from the creator's GitHub releases page, and install the zip with your mod manager.
3. Follow the README to start the Minecraft side, then start Fallout 4 through F4SE and load a save.
