FAR CRY INSTINCTS GOES NATIVE ON PC: THE XBOX-ONLY FAR CRY GETS A DIRECTX 12 PORT
Far Cry Instincts (original Xbox) gets a native Windows port by static recompilation, v0.1.2 out

VinceIP's fci-recomp is a native Windows port of Far Cry Instincts (2005), the original Xbox take on Far Cry that never came to PC. The game's code is statically recompiled from your disc image to C ahead of time and compiled into a Windows program, running alongside a reimplementation of the Xbox kernel, Direct3D and audio. v0.1.2 (Oct 19) has the full story mode and the map editor working, including saving custom maps and story progress, plus a DirectX 12 renderer and customisable mouse and keyboard controls. The creator discloses extensive AI assistance with a human reviewing the code, and calls it an ongoing project.
You need: Your own original Far Cry Instincts disc for Xbox, as a disc image. The repo contains no game code, data, assets or executables.
