FortCraft: play Minecraft as a Team Fortress 2 mercenary, v0.5.9 out

VVRLD's FortCraft is a passthrough mashup: Minecraft draws the world and keeps its blocks, mobs, dimensions and saves, while a locally built TF2 mod runs hidden alongside it and supplies Team Fortress 2's movement, classes, weapons, buildings, menus and HUD. Setup downloads Valve's open Source SDK 2013, applies FortCraft's changes and builds everything on your own computer. It's experimental, single-player and offline only. v0.5.9 landed Oct 19. It joins the run of passthrough mashups on the wire, like Half-Life 2's HalfCraft and Minecraft in Elden Ring.

You need: Your own Minecraft: Java Edition, plus Team Fortress 2 and Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer (both free on Steam). Windows 10/11 or Linux. Single-player and offline only: never use it on public TF2 servers. Back up your Minecraft worlds first.

How to play

Download the ready-to-use zip for your system from the Releases page.
Run START-HERE.cmd (Windows) or setup.sh (Linux) once to build it.
Launch with PLAY-FORTCRAFT.cmd or play.sh.
