COLORADO GOES NATIVE: FORZA HORIZON RECOMPILED FOR PC, DECK AND MAC AT UP TO 4K 120FPS
Pinyon Shift 0.5.1: Forza Horizon (Xbox 360) recompiled to run natively on PC, Steam Deck and Mac

arcanite24's Pinyon Shift is a static recompilation of the Xbox 360 Forza Horizon: the game's PowerPC code is translated ahead of time into C++ with ShiftGlue (the team's fork of ReXGlue) and compiled on your own machine, with a custom Vulkan renderer instead of an emulated GPU. It targets Windows, Linux, Steam Deck and Apple silicon Macs, with an Android alpha. Highlights: 60 and 120 fps at correct game speed, 1x to 4x internal resolution, FSR 1, ultrawide, in-game settings (F6) and a trainer (F10). v0.5.0 landed Oct 11 and the 0.5.1 hotfix Oct 12. It's labelled a playable preview, so expect some rendering bugs and slowdowns. The repo ships no game files, translations or prebuilt executable.
You need: Your own Forza Horizon (Xbox 360) disc to dump. No game files or prebuilt game included. Windows, Linux, Steam Deck or Apple silicon Mac; a Vulkan-capable GPU.
How to play
- Download the launcher from the Releases page.
- Point it at your own Forza Horizon disc image and let it build the game.
- Press F6 in-game for resolution, frame rate and graphics options.
