GOLDENEYE 007'S LOST XBOX 360 REMASTER GETS ANOTHER NATIVE PC PORT, UP TO 4K
GoldenEye 007's cancelled Xbox 360 remaster gets a second native PC recompilation, with online play over LAN

CaiusCodes' GoldenEye 007 XBLA PC Recomp statically recompiles Rare's unreleased Xbox 360 / XBLA remaster of GoldenEye into a native Windows program with ReXGlue, the same toolkit behind many of this month's Xbox 360 recomps. The creator lists up to 4K with 16:9 and 21:9 widescreen at a steady 60 fps, a key that flips between the original and remastered graphics, keyboard and mouse or Xbox controllers, and multiplayer over LAN or virtual-LAN services. On first start it reads the Xbox 360 GoldenEye package you supply (Title ID 584108A9), checks the version and imports the data. It follows SunJaycy's earlier recompilation of the same build, which Tom's Hardware covered; v0.9.6c is the third release in five days.
You need: Windows 10/11 64-bit, a DirectX 12 GPU, and your own GoldenEye 007 Xbox Live Arcade package (Title ID 584108A9). The project includes no game executable, graphics, sound or music.
How to play GoldenEye 007 on PC
- Download the latest release ZIP and extract the GoldenEye 007 folder (not into Program Files).
- Open GoldenEye 007.exe and browse to your own game package so it can import it.
- Pick any extras and press Play.
