KOHOLINT UNCHAINED: ZELDA LINK'S AWAKENING RECOMPILED NATIVE FOR PC, MAC AND LINUX
LAS Recomp Beta 3: Link's Awakening (Switch) recompiled natively for Windows, macOS and Linux

peiikai's LAS Recomp is a static recompilation of the 2019 Switch remake of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening into a native app: Vulkan on Windows and Linux, Metal with MetalFX on Apple silicon Macs, plus an experimental Linux ARM build. Beta 3 dropped Oct 14, six days after the repo opened, with an unlocked aspect ratio for ultrawide and a built-in randomizer, including experimental dungeon room shuffle. The creator says it was made almost entirely with Claude Code, directed, tested and reviewed by a human. It's a beta, so crashes, unsolvable seeds and wide-screen graphics glitches are still possible. No game files, assets or fonts are included; the recompilation runs locally on first launch.
You need: Your own extracted game files of Link's Awakening (Switch) v1.0.0. No game files included. Windows x86-64, Apple silicon Mac or Linux x86-64.
How to play
- Download Beta 3 for your OS from the Releases page.
- On first launch, point it at your own Link's Awakening v1.0.0 files; it recompiles locally.
- Pick vanilla or a randomizer seed from the start screen.
