MASHUP: MEGA MAN X JOINS RISK OF RAIN 2 AS A PLAYABLE SURVIVOR WITH NINE ARMORS
Megaman X Mod: play Mega Man X as a Risk of Rain 2 survivor, with charge shots and nine armors
BLKNeko's Megaman X Mod adds Capcom's Mega Man X to Risk of Rain 2 as a full playable survivor with his own kit, not a skin: buster shots and charge shots with the classic sound effects, voice lines on some skills, and nine of X's armors, each of which upgrades his stats and swaps in new skills (the Light Armor's multi-hit Light Buster, the Giga Armor's extra charge and Head Scanner, the Max Armor's Hyper Chip and more). It first went up on Thunderstore in December 2020 and has had over 250,000 downloads; version 4.0.5 is the current release. The same creator also made Zero, Vile and Mega Man EXE survivors, and it sits alongside the other crossover survivors on our wire, such as Samus and Sonic.
You need: Your own copy of Risk of Rain 2 on PC, plus BepInEx and the R2API modules the mod lists (a mod manager installs them for you).
How to play
- Install a Thunderstore mod manager such as r2modman and pick Risk of Rain 2.
- Install BLKNeko's MegamanXMod; the manager adds BepInEx and the other dependencies.
- Start modded and pick X on the survivor screen.
