The team behind SpeedBreaker, the native Xbox 360 recomp of Need for Speed: Most Wanted, has moved on to its sequel. SpeedBreaker: Carbon is an unofficial static recompilation of the Xbox 360 version of Need for Speed: Carbon (2006): the game's own code is translated into a native program, not run in an emulator. v0.1.0 landed on 29 October with builds for Steam Deck and SteamOS, Linux and Mac, a Windows beta, and an experimental sideloadable IPA for iPhone and iPad. The README shows the prologue's BMW M3 GTR in Palmont City at 2560x1440. No game files are included. It follows two earlier Carbon recomps on the wire, a Mac-only Apple Silicon build and an Android one, and adds Steam Deck and Linux.
