Need for Speed Underground 2 gets 2 to 6 player split screen on PC

mihaits's NFSU2 Split Screen mod adds local split screen for 2 to 6 players to the PC version of Need for Speed Underground 2. It covers every race mode plus Free Run across the whole city, keeps full graphics in every view, and has native controller support (Xbox, DualSense and DualShock 4 pads, with rumble, triggers and lightbars; one player can use the keyboard). Beta 0.12.0 landed on 1 November 2026, a few days after 0.11. It is an ASI plugin for the original game, not a recompilation, so it sits alongside the NFSU2 recomp and native ports already in our library.

You need: Your own copy of Need for Speed Underground 2 on PC (speed2.exe v1.2), plus ThirteenAG's WidescreenFix (recommended) or the Ultimate ASI Loader.

How to play

Install WidescreenFix or the Ultimate ASI Loader into your NFSU2 v1.2 folder.
Download the latest release and copy NFSU2SplitScreen.asi and NFSU2SplitScreen.ini into the game's scripts folder.
Pick Split-Screen in the main menu, choose players, track and mode, and race.
