OpenRCT2 v0.5.6: the open RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 adds recolourable land and 18 new colours

OpenRCT2, the long-running open-source reimplementation of RollerCoaster Tycoon 2, released v0.5.6 on 10 October. It adds recolourable land surfaces and edges, 18 extra colours including five from the original RCT1, a new title sequence and plugin API additions. OpenRCT2 runs RCT2 natively on Windows, macOS, Linux and Android with multiplayer, higher resolutions and quality-of-life fixes, using the data from your own copy of the game.

How to play RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 on PC

1. Download v0.5.6 for your system from Releases or openrct2.io.
2. On first launch, point it at your RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 install folder.
3. Play solo or host a multiplayer park.
