SONY SHIPS PS5 FIRMWARE 14.22 WITH 'SECURITY FIXES' 17 DAYS BEFORE GTA 6
Sony releases PS5 firmware 14.22 with security fixes ahead of GTA 6

Sony released PS5 system software 26.07-14.22.00 on 2 November, about 12 days after 14.20. The only stated change is a single line about security fixes, so Sony has not said what it closes. Beebom ties the timing to the jailbreak race ahead of GTA 6 on 19 November. Online reports say GTA 6 will need 14.22, but Rockstar has not confirmed any minimum firmware. The newest public jailbreak Beebom lists covers 7.00 to 13.60, and nothing confirms one works on 14.22. It follows the private 14.10 bypass Gezine showed in a video in October.
You need: SAFETY NOTE: there's nothing to install from us, and no public jailbreak is confirmed for 14.22, so treat any download claiming to be one as fake. Modifying a console can get it banned or damage it.
How to play
- Read the coverage for the details.
- Treat claims about what 14.22 blocks, or what GTA 6 requires, as unconfirmed.
- Do not install anything claiming to be a 14.22 jailbreak.
