GAME OVER, OVERDRIVE: SONY KILLS PS5 JAILBREAK PIRACY STORE TWO DAYS AFTER LAUNCH
Sony shuts down Overdrive, a PS5 jailbreak storefront offering 1,600+ pirated games
Overdrive, an unauthorized storefront for jailbroken PS5s that appeared around Oct 12 offering over 1,600 PS4 and PS5 games and DLC for free, was shut down on Oct 14, per Beebom. A report from X user Oliver Darko says Sony's lawyers sent a cease-and-desist to the people behind it. It ran on consoles opened by the Relapse exploit (firmware 7.00 to 13.60), which Sony's 14.00 and 14.10 updates have since closed off. gamerbrowser.com covers jailbreak news only; we don't link storefronts or pirated games.
