MASHUP: RESIDENT EVIL 4 MEETS MINECRAFT AS STEVE TAKES ON THE VILLAGE
RE4Craft: play Resident Evil 4 as Minecraft's Steve, with Minecraft running underneath

Utimaa's RE4Craft (repo ResidentCraft4) puts Minecraft Java 26.3 gameplay inside the original Resident Evil 4 UHD on Steam. Minecraft runs as a real game in the background and supplies Steve, his movement, physics, blocks, inventory and combat; RE4 supplies the terrain, its own enemies and the campaign scripts. Enemies and crates drop Minecraft materials that follow the campaign, from wood in chapter 1 up to netherite and enchanting supplies by the end. Press F8 in a campaign save to switch Steve in. The creator is upfront that it is vibe-coded and very early: v0.2.0-alpha.3 (18 October) fixes launch paths and adds Prism Launcher support, but native crashes remain. It is one of a wave of Minecraft 'passthrough' mashups that started with SkyCraft (Minecraft in Skyrim).
You need: Your own copy of Resident Evil 4 (2005) UHD on Steam (32-bit build 1.1.0) and your own Minecraft: Java Edition with version 26.3 installed. Windows only. Experimental: expect crashes.
How to play
- Install and open Minecraft 26.3 once in the official launcher or Prism Launcher, then close it.
- Extract the RE4Craft Windows zip from the Releases page and run Setup.cmd with RE4 closed.
- Run Play.cmd, load your RE4 campaign save and press F8.
