Red Alert 2's Tesla Trooper, Desolator and Chrono Legionnaire join Risk of Rain 2 as playable survivors

TheTimesweeper's Red Alert mod drops three Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 infantry units into Risk of Rain 2 as full playable survivors, not skins: the Tesla Trooper, the Desolator and the Chrono Legionnaire, each with its own kit themed around RoR2 (a Conscript and a G.I. are work-in-progress options in the config). It grew out of the creator's 2022 Tesla Trooper mod and was relaunched as Red Alert in September 2024. It is still maintained: v3.3.10 landed on 14 Oct 2026, and it has passed 900,000 downloads on Thunderstore. It sits alongside our other Risk of Rain 2 crossover picks, Goku and Sonic.

You need: Your own copy of Risk of Rain 2 on PC plus its mod loader dependencies (a mod manager such as r2modman installs them for you). Red Alert 2 itself is not needed.

How to play

1. Install a Thunderstore mod manager (r2modman) and pick Risk of Rain 2.
2. Search Red Alert by TheTimesweeper and install it with its dependencies.
3. Launch modded and pick the Tesla Trooper, Desolator or Chrono Legionnaire on the survivor screen.
