Pokémon's Regigigas joins Risk of Rain 2 as a new boss and playable character
rob's Regigigas mod puts the Pokémon colossus into Risk of Rain 2 as a new boss with its own moves, and a config switch makes it a playable character too. Slow Start halves its attack speed, damage and movement speed for the first 2 minutes after spawning; in the playable version that becomes a kill requirement. Crush Grip grabs an enemy for 50% of its max health and throws it, Earth Power stomps up pillars of flame for 600% damage, and Revenge locks it in place for 8 seconds, then releases a blast for triple the damage taken. It spawns on Siren's Call and Sundered Grove and on several stages after looping, and it's fully multiplayer compatible. It first came out in March 2021, has passed 140,000 downloads and was updated to v1.8.1 on 3 November. rob also made the Dante, HUNK and Belmont survivors already on our list.
You need: Your own copy of Risk of Rain 2 on PC, plus BepInEx and R2API (a mod manager such as r2modman installs them). The playable version is off by default: turn it on in the mod config.
How to play
- Install a Thunderstore mod manager (r2modman) and pick Risk of Rain 2.
- Search Regigigas by rob and install it with its dependencies.
- Launch modded. Enable the playable version in the mod config if you want to play as it.
