Metroid's Samus joins Risk of Rain 2 as a playable survivor with charge beam and missiles
dgosling's Samus Mod puts Samus Aran from Metroid into Risk of Rain 2 as a full playable survivor, not a skin. She has a charge beam, homing missiles, a super missile and a rolling dash attack that drops a bomb, with bomb effects remade using Metroid Prime tools. It supports the VR Mod with a Metroid Prime-style visor HUD, plus CustomEmotesAPI. First released in February 2021 and last updated to v2.2.3 in January 2024, it has about 376,000 downloads on Thunderstore, one of the most-downloaded crossover survivors alongside the Ganondorf, Goku and Sonic mods on our wire.
You need: Your own copy of Risk of Rain 2 on PC, plus BepInEx and the mod's listed dependencies (a mod manager such as r2modman installs them for you).
How to play
- Install a Thunderstore mod manager (r2modman) and pick Risk of Rain 2.
- Search dgoslings Samus Mod and install it with its dependencies.
- Launch modded and pick Samus on the survivor select screen.
