SILENT HILL 2 RUNS NATIVELY ON NINTENDO SWITCH WITH ENHANCED EDITION SUPPORT
Silent Hill 2 for Nintendo Switch: the PC version statically recompiled to run natively

sh2-nx is a native Nintendo Switch port of the PC version of Silent Hill 2 (Director's Cut / Restless Dreams). It is not an emulator: every function of the game's x86 executable is recompiled ahead of time to ARM64 code, and the Windows parts the game expects are rebuilt on SDL2, OpenGL and FFmpeg. It supports the Silent Hill 2: Enhanced Edition packs, including HD textures, restored audio and 1080p60 movies, plus 16:9 widescreen at 720p handheld and 1080p docked. Version 1.02 landed on 22 October. No game files are included.
You need: A Nintendo Switch that runs homebrew (custom firmware, which can void your warranty and risk an online ban), plus your own PC copy of Silent Hill 2 with the Enhanced Edition installed. No game files are included.
How to play PC on PC
- Install Silent Hill 2: Enhanced Edition on your own PC copy of the game.
- Copy the game folder to your Switch's SD card as the README explains.
- Run the NRO from the Releases page through the homebrew menu.
