MASHUP: SOSCRAFT PUTS MW2 GUNS, SKATE 3 AND AN ELDEN RING BOSS IN REAL MINECRAFT

Soscraft: Minecraft survival played as an MW2 soldier, with Skate 3 skating and an Elden Ring boss

Soscraft plays a real Minecraft 26.3 world as a Modern Warfare 2 soldier. MW2's guns, movement and operator body are in, bullets break blocks and hurt mobs, and vanilla world generation, crafting, the Nether and the End dragon fight all work, with up to 5 players through a join code. The host can press J for Skate 3 skating with full block collision, and Margit from Elden Ring is playable as a proof of concept, using a stand-in model. ARK creatures are planned but not started. It's built on chasmlol's 2010 Rust Rewrite Mashup, which runs on vladtrc's IW4L Rust rewrite of MW2. There's no release yet, so you build it yourself, and no game files are in the repo.

You need: Windows, your own Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009 PC) and Minecraft: Java Edition. The host also needs Skate 3 (Xbox 360) and Elden Ring for those features. Rust and the Visual Studio C++ build tools to compile it. Minecraft's files download from Mojang on first start.

How to play

1. Install Rust and the Visual Studio C++ build tools, then build the repo with cargo.
2. Start iw4l.exe and point it at your own MW2 folder.
3. Under Create Game, pick the Minecraft tab and the overworld map.
