Tale of Two Wastelands: Fallout 3 merged into Fallout: New Vegas
Tale of Two Wastelands is the best-known two-games-joined mod there is: the TTW team's installer merges Fallout 3 and all its DLC into Fallout: New Vegas, so you can play both campaigns in one playthrough with one character, travelling between the Capital Wasteland and the Mojave with New Vegas's engine and systems. The current version, 3.4, went up on the team's official mod.pub page on 11 June 2026. It is built only from your own installs of both games; nothing is pirated or repackaged.
You need: Your own clean, unmodded English Steam or GOG installs of BOTH Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, with all DLC for each, plus about 22 GB of free space and Mod Organizer 2.
How to play
- Download Tale of Two Wastelands 3.4 from the team's official mod.pub Files page.
- Run the installer, pointing it at your clean Fallout 3 and New Vegas installs.
- Add the output to Mod Organizer 2 as the install guide explains, then launch New Vegas.
