Team Fortress 2's Spy joins Risk of Rain 2 as a backstabbing survivor with his own kit

tsuyoikenko's Spy mod brings Team Fortress 2's Spy into Risk of Rain 2 as a playable survivor with his own moveset. Backstabs with the knife crit and instantly kill weaker enemies, the Diamondback and Ambassador revolvers fill the primary slot, Sap plants a Sapper that shocks nearby enemies, and the specials are the Cloak and Deadman's Watch, with the Big Earner as an alternate knife. The first version was made in 24 hours and released in May 2024, then polished; version 1.3.4 arrived on 18 Oct 2026 and the mod has about 487,000 downloads on Thunderstore, where 57 other mods depend on it. tsuyoikenko also made a Scout, and the page points to other TF2-style survivors from the RoR2 scene. It joins our Dante, HUNK and Belmont crossovers in the same game.

You need: Your own copy of Risk of Rain 2 on PC (Steam). Needs BepInExPack and R2API, which a mod manager installs for you.

How to play

1. Install a Thunderstore mod manager (r2modman or the Thunderstore app) and pick Risk of Rain 2.
2. Search for Spy by tsuyoikenko and install it; its dependencies come with it.
3. Start the game modded and pick the Spy on the survivor screen.
