ARCADE PERFECT AND THEN SOME: VIRTUA FIGHTER 2 RECOMP HITS 6X RES AND 120 FPS
Virtua Fighter 2 Recomp: Sega's Model 2 arcade fighter recompiled to native PC

Virtua Fighter 2 Recomp runs the 1994 Sega Model 2 arcade game's own Intel i960 program, recompiled to native ARM64 or x86-64 code from your ROM each time it starts. It supports render scales up to 6x, widescreen, and smooth motion at any refresh rate. It runs on macOS, Windows, Linux and Steam Deck. The repo appeared on 10 October and has shipped fast, with v0.1.9 out on 16 October. It's an unofficial fan project and isn't affiliated with Sega.
You need: Your own dump of the arcade board as MAME's vf2 set (vf2.zip, version 2.1). No ROMs or anything made from them are included. The ROM is read and recompiled locally.
How to play Arcade on PC
- Download the build for your OS from the latest release.
- Point it at your own vf2.zip (MAME set, version 2.1).
- Set your render scale and widescreen in the options, then fight.
