XBOX LIVE IS BACK FOR RECOMPILED XBOX GAMES: XREVIVE LAUNCHER ADDS ONLINE PLAY ON PC
xrevive launcher brings XB Online play to recompiled original Xbox games on PC
xrevive is a desktop launcher from Teraflopping for original Xbox games recompiled with their Xrecomp tool, wired into the XB Online Xbox Live revival at xb.live. Add your own ISO or game folder and it fetches the matching native Windows build, installs title updates and DLC, and signs you in for online play, starting with Midnight Club 3. It also has a live players-online list, friends by gamertag, save backup and xemu save import, custom soundtracks, per-game DirectX 12/11/Vulkan settings and Add to Steam with Steam Input on Deck. v0.1.22 (Oct 21) added the Players online list and automatic retries when xb.live hiccups; four releases shipped this week alone. Linux runs the games through Wine or Proton (experimental); macOS can't play yet.
You need: Your own original Xbox disc images (ISO or extracted folder) of supported games, such as Midnight Club 3. An xb.live account for online play. Games run offline if xb.live is down.
How to play
- Download the Windows setup or Linux AppImage from the Releases page.
- Add your own ISO or extracted game folder; xrevive installs its matching build.
- Sign in with xb.live to play online, or just press Play offline.
