ALIEN RESURRECTION GOES NATIVE ON PC, MAC AND LINUX: PS1 SHOOTER HITS 60 FPS IN WIDESCREEN
Alien Resurrection: Recompiled: the PS1 shooter as a native port for Windows, macOS and Linux

DiegoDeDios' Alien Resurrection: Recompiled is a native port of the 2000 PlayStation shooter for macOS, Windows and Linux, made by statically recompiling the game's MIPS code. A small runtime stands in for the PlayStation's BIOS and hardware, and a modern GPU renderer draws it in high resolution and widescreen at a steady 60 fps. It adds precision geometry without the PS1 wobble, mouse and keyboard controls, quick saves, and optional tweaks such as sprint, enemy damage sliders and an infinite flashlight. The launcher checks your disc is the USA release, and settings can be changed there or in the game. The repo opened on 17 October and v0.1.9 landed today, with a pre-release for testers hours later. The downloads are about 3 MB and hold no part of the game, neither data nor code.
You need: Your own Alien Resurrection (USA, SLUS-00633) as a disc image, a .cue sheet with its .bin tracks. macOS 11 or later, Windows 10/11 with Vulkan or Direct3D 12, or a recent x86_64 Linux with a Vulkan driver. The builds are unsigned, so macOS and Windows will warn you the first time. No game files are included.
