The original inFamous (PS3) gets an unofficial native Windows port via ps3recomp
inFamous PC by whompay is an unofficial native Windows port of Sucker Punch's 2009 PS3 game (European release BCES00220). Its PowerPC (PPU) and SPU code is statically recompiled to x86-64 C/C++ with sp00nznet's ps3recomp, so it runs as a normal Windows program rather than under an emulator. The repo contains no game code or data: the inFamous Setup.exe installer takes your .iso (an encrypted image works with its .dkey) or game folder, checks for Python and the C++ build tools, regenerates the recompiled code from your copy and builds it. Running Setup again updates in place. It arrives alongside the separate PS4-to-PC port of inFAMOUS Second Son already on our wire, and builds on the same ps3recomp toolkit behind the God of War: Ascension experiment.
You need: Your own copy of inFamous for PS3, European release BCES00220 (.iso with .dkey, or the PS3_GAME folder). Python and the C++ build tools, which Setup offers to install. No game code or data is included.
How to play inFamous on PC
- Download inFamous Setup.exe from the latest release.
- Choose your own .iso or game folder and an install location, then press Install.
- Launch from the inFamous shortcut; rerun Setup to update.
