WARCRAFT II GETS A FROM-SCRATCH ENGINE REBUILD THAT RUNS ON PC, PHONES AND VITA
Tidewater: Warcraft II rebuilt from scratch in Rust, on Windows, Mac, Linux, phones and PS Vita
nlwstein's Tidewater is a from-scratch Rust reimplementation of the Warcraft II: Battle.net Edition engine, Beyond the Dark Portal included, that reads the data from your own copy of the game. The creator calls it early but playable: both campaigns, custom games on any map, early LAN multiplayer, saved games, sound, music and video all work, played and tested against the Enhanced rules. v0.8.0 landed on 26 October, its third release in two days, with installers for Windows, macOS and Linux and early builds for iPhone and iPad, Android and the PS Vita. The 1995 DOS edition isn't supported.
You need: Your own copy of Warcraft II: Battle.net Edition (for example the GOG release or the Battle.net Edition CD). The 1995 DOS edition is not supported. No game data is included.
