VANILLAWARE'S UNICORN OVERLORD GOES NATIVE ON PC: PS4 FAN PORT HITS V1.2
Unicorn Overlord (PS4) gets an unofficial native PC port for Windows and Linux
Unicorn Overlord PC (vwport) by hachi23 is a native Linux and Windows port of the PS4 version of Vanillaware's 2024 tactics RPG. It isn't an emulator or a decompilation: the game's own x86-64 executable from your dump runs directly on your CPU, while the project supplies the PS4 operating-system functions and GPU the game expects. It's a work in progress: the creator has played the prologue, chapter 1 and its first battle, saving and loading work, and every system function the game imports is implemented, at about 50-60 fps on a mid-range laptop. It's tested on the Asia dump CUSA36381 with the 1.04 English update. v1.2.0 landed Oct 20. Its stablemate Dragon's Crown Pro is already on our wire as a PS4-to-PC port.
You need: Your own Unicorn Overlord PS4 dump: CUSA36381 (Asia), app 01.04 with the English update. No game files are included. Read docs/KNOWN_ISSUES.md first.
How to play Unicorn Overlord on PC
- Download v1.2.0 for Windows or Linux from Releases.
- Point it at your own CUSA36381 1.04 dump.
- Play the opening chapters and report bugs per the known-issues doc.
