WIND WAKER RECOMPILED: GAMECUBE ZELDA NOW RUNS NATIVE ON PC, MAC AND IPHONE
BlueWake: The Wind Waker recompiled for PC, Mac, iPhone and Linux
BlueWake is a static recompilation of the GameCube Wind Waker that runs natively on Windows, iPhone, iPad, Mac and Linux, with touch controls, controller support and mods. Elliott's earlier Wind Waker Recomp has moved into it, and he now maintains BlueWake with Chris. v0.7.0 (10 October) has a ready-made Windows download; on Mac, iPhone, iPad and Linux you build the app yourself, and it holds code translated from your disc, so never share it. Related: the Wind Waker HD recomp already on the wire.
You need: Your own The Wind Waker GameCube disc, USA version (GZLE01, revision 0). Windows 10/11 for the ready-made build; an Apple Silicon Mac to build for Mac, iPhone or iPad. No disc image, assets or saves are included.
How to play The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker on PC
- Download the Windows build from the latest release (or follow the build guide for Mac, iOS or Linux).
- Choose your own disc image when it asks.
- Set sail.
