DEMON'S SOULS (PS3) RUNS NATIVELY ON PC IN A FAN PORT, AND IT JUST GOT HDR
Demon's Souls Recomp: the PS3 original running natively on PC, playable through Boletarian Palace 1-1, now with HDR

JonathanDC64's Demon's Souls Recomp converts the original 2009 PS3 game's code to run directly on Windows and Linux, with no emulator. It is early: the README says the game is playable from the start through the first level, Boletarian Palace 1-1. It already has higher frame rates with the game's timing fixed, higher resolutions and ultrawide, Souls-style keyboard and mouse, Xbox and PlayStation controllers, remappable keys, an in-game settings menu and experimental online play. HDR output landed on 24 to 25 October. There is no ready-made download yet: an easy setup tool is promised, and until then you build it from source with your own US copy of the game. It is built on the creator's own ps3recomp tooling and includes no game files.
You need: Your own US PS3 copy of Demon's Souls (BLUS30443), Windows 10/11 or Linux, and a DirectX 12 graphics card. For now you must build it from source. No game files are included.
