INSOMNIAC'S FIRST GAME, PS1 SHOOTER DISRUPTOR, GETS A NATIVE PC PORT
Disruptor, Insomniac's first game, recompiled for Windows and Linux with widescreen and 60 fps, v0.14.0 out

Disruptor, the 1996 PlayStation first-person shooter that was Insomniac Games' first release, now runs natively on Windows and Linux through a recompilation of the PS1 code. The campaign is playable start to finish, though the project still calls itself alpha. It runs at up to 60 fps instead of 30, in widescreen, with optional in-between frames for smoother motion and a separate render thread for slower PCs. You drop your own disc image on the launcher; a French, German or Japanese disc can give the game its language. v0.13.0 and v0.14.0 shipped a day apart.
You need: Your own Disruptor (USA, SLUS-00224) disc image; a French, German or Japanese disc can add its language. No game data is included. Windows or Linux.
