VasilkovND's gears2-nx runs the Xbox 360 retail disc of Gears of War 2 natively on the Nintendo Switch as a homebrew NRO. The game's PowerPC code is statically recompiled to C++ with ReXGlue, reusing the codegen manifest, function hints and fixes of santiquiroz's Gears of War 2 PC port, and frames are drawn by a native deko3d renderer from the game's translated shaders. Version 1.0.0 is playable with the CPU overclocked: the creator measured about 27 fps on average, mostly 24–30 in fights, on levels 1 and 2 in handheld mode; at stock clocks it is slow. It follows the same creator's Dead Space 2 and Dante's Inferno Switch ports. The repo holds build tools only: the code, shaders and NRO are made on your computer from your own copy.
