Andrew Nakas has released v0.3.0 of gtav-recomp, a static recompilation of Grand Theft Auto V for Xbox 360 (Title Update 27). The console's PowerPC executable is translated into native code with a new renderer, built with the ReXGlue SDK (the same toolkit behind recent Xbox 360 recomps like Fable 2). Release packages cover Windows, Linux and macOS, and each one can also build the iPhone and Android versions, so there is no separate phone download. The repo went public on 2 November and v0.3.0 landed the same day. The README is blunt about legality: no game is included in the repo or any release; the launcher reads your own Disc 1 and Disc 2 plus the title update and builds everything on your machine. This is the 360 version of GTA V, not the later PC release, so expect last-gen visuals at modern resolutions.
