BilalReloaded, the creator behind the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and MediEvil PC ports already on our wire, now runs Housemarque's 2017 PS4 shooter Matterfall natively on Windows. As with those ports, the game's own x86-64 code runs directly on the PC, the gow3_pc runtime supplies the PS4 system libraries and shadPS4's video core drives a Vulkan renderer, with no emulator in between. The README reports boot, menus, saves and gameplay working, including a 30-minute session with no crash, plus Wwise audio, DualSense, Xbox and keyboard controls, and correct sky lighting that other PS4 emulators get wrong. v1.0.1 unlocked the game's PS4 Pro 4K mode for native 1440p and 4K; four releases landed in two days, up to v1.0.4 on 31 October, which fixes an AMD crash after the intro.
