SUPER SMASH BROS. MELEE GETS A NATIVE PORT TO THE PLAYSTATION 3
Super Smash Bros. Melee ported natively to the PlayStation 3 from the decomp, with GameCube controller support, 1.0.3 out
Super Smash Bros. Melee now runs natively on a PlayStation 3. Melee-PS3 is built on the doldecomp/melee decompilation and runs as homebrew from the XMB Game column. Plug Nintendo's Wii U GameCube controller adapter into a USB port and it works with no setup, rumble included, for local VS matches. It takes your own US disc (GALE01 revision 2, version 1.02) as .iso, .gcm, .ciso or an extracted folder, with tools in the repo to extract the data. It joins the native PC Melee port already on the wire.
You need: A PS3 running custom firmware (CFW) or HEN, which you set up yourself at your own risk. Your own US disc of Melee, GALE01 revision 2 (1.02). No game data is included.
How to play Super Smash Bros. Melee on PC
- Download the package from the creator's GitHub releases page and install it on your CFW/HEN PS3.
- Extract your own Melee disc with the repo's tool, as the README explains.
- Start Super Smash Bros: Melee from the Game column.
