Sega's 2006 hoverboard racer Sonic Riders now runs natively on Windows, Android, Linux and the Switch (as homebrew), statically recompiled from the GameCube version and rebuilt on your own PC from your own disc image. The creator says it plays from boot through story mode and 4-player Free Race, with sound: 60 fps on a test PC with an RTX 3060, 60 fps races on a Galaxy S23 Ultra, and a steady 30 fps on a stock-clocked Switch, with a 60 fps option for lighter scenes. The Linux and Steam Deck build is a test version. v0.5.3 shipped on 7 November.
