BANJO-KAZOOIE: NUTS & BOLTS PC RECOMP GETS A NATIVE RENDERER AND ONLINE PLAY
Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts PC recomp gets a native renderer

reNut, masterspike52's ReXGlue recompilation of Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, has a new beta out as of 16 October. The big change is a native renderer: the game's Direct3D calls are hooked to run through plume, and its recompiled shaders are built into the executable, instead of the Xenos emulation pipeline earlier builds used. Online play runs through Epic Online Services. It runs on Windows and Linux (Linux untested for this build, and the dev warns of possible freezes after the logo or save corruption). The creator says the code uses AI heavily.
You need: Your own Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts (USA) Xbox 360 disc, dumped to a folder (the title update isn't supported). Windows, or Linux via the AppImage. No game files are included.
How to play Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts on PC
- Dump the contents of your own USA disc to a folder.
- Download renut.zip (Windows) or renut.AppImage (Linux) from the latest release.
- Run it, select the folder with default.xex, click Continue and play.
