THE X-FILES GAME RETURNS: NEW OPEN ENGINE RUNS THE 1998 CLASSIC ON MODERN PCS
Shiloh: new open-source engine runs The X-Files Game (1998) on modern PCs and in the browser

Asterber's Shiloh is an open-source engine, written in Rust, that runs The X-Files Game (1998, HyperBole Studios / Fox Interactive) from your own copy. It has a native SDL2 window and a WebAssembly version served from your own machine. It was rebuilt by tracing the original scene by scene and contains none of the original program's code. The few tables it needs are read from your copy at run time. Complete playthroughs have been done on the English DVD Edition and the Russian 1.00 release. v0.3.0 landed Oct 18.
You need: Your own copy of The X-Files Game: the original discs, a disc image, or an installed game. Shiloh downloads and distributes nothing of the game.
How to play The X-Files Game on PC
