Peterson047's BLACK Multiplayer is an experimental Team Deathmatch mod on top of TGP482's BLACK-XBERecomp, the native recompile of Criterion's 2006 Xbox shooter. Up to 8 players fight as Black Ops against Seventh Wave in Veblensk, over LAN, direct IP or dedicated servers, with a server browser and an in-match weapon loadout. It also adds hit markers, sprint, footsteps and animated kill badges. v0.4.1-alpha.1 landed Nov 4, the fourth alpha in three days. This repo holds a binary test build; the source lives in the creator's BLACK-Coop repo.

You need: Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), a Vulkan 1.2 GPU and your own copy of Black (USA or Europe) as a disc image. No game files are included. It is an alpha test build.

How to play BLACK on PC

  1. Download the latest alpha from Releases.
  2. Point it at your own disc image: the first run builds the multiplayer map.
  3. Host, or join from the server browser, LAN or direct IP.
