CONKER: LIVE & RELOADED GETS A PC LAUNCHER THAT BUILDS THE GAME, PLUS ONLINE PLAY
Conker: Recomped & Reloaded: a launcher and enhanced build of the native Conker: Live & Reloaded PC port
Mabec Games' Conker: Recomped & Reloaded is a launcher and modified build of Live & Recompiled, giacomozama and TGP482's native recompilation of the original Xbox's Conker: Live & Reloaded, which we covered in October. On first run you pick your own disc image, and the launcher extracts it and compiles the game on your PC in a few minutes, with the compiler included, so it works offline. Every setting lives in the launcher: any aspect ratio up to 32:9, render scale up to 400%, 60 to 240 FPS or the original 30 with frames drawn in between, MSAA, SMAA and ambient occlusion. Optional enhancements add per-pixel lighting, softer fur, full-detail characters and grass at any distance, rippling water and skippable cutscenes. You can play with Xbox, PlayStation or Switch controllers or keyboard and mouse, up to four players in split screen, or host an online room and share a six-word code with friends. Version 1.4 landed on 3 November, a day after 1.3, for Windows 10/11 and Linux (AppImage).
You need: Your own original Xbox disc of Conker: Live & Reloaded (USA or Europe) as a disc image, and Windows 10/11 x64 or Linux x86_64. No part of the game is included.
How to play Conker: Live & Reloaded on PC
- Download the Windows zip or the Linux AppImage from the GitHub releases.
- On first run, pick your own disc image; the launcher builds the game in a few minutes.
- Set graphics in the launcher, or host an online room and share its code.
