A SECOND MIDTOWN MADNESS 3 PC PORT ARRIVES: BUILD THE XBOX RACER NATIVELY ON WINDOWS
mm3-recomp: a second Midtown Madness 3 recompilation builds the Xbox racer as a native Windows exe

MattSG's mm3-recomp turns your own dump of the 2003 Xbox racer Midtown Madness 3 into a native PC executable, using the creator's own xboxrecomp toolchain. A builder app checks your disc image's SHA, then translates and compiles the game with a Direct3D 12 or Vulkan back end (both via SDL3). The newest builder, 2026.11.01.5.1, landed on 1 November. It is experimental and largely AI-written, per the README: Windows gameplay has been checked, Linux has a build path but has not been replayed since the SDL3 move, and macOS isn't supported. It arrives a day after lakshya16157's rival Midtown Madness 3 PC Native v2.2, also on the wire, which installs from a setup exe instead. No game files are included.
You need: A disc image of your own Midtown Madness 3 Xbox disc. Windows with Python 3.12+, Git, CMake and Visual Studio 2022 (C++ desktop + CMake tools) to build. No game files are included.
