ETERNAL DARKNESS GOES NATIVE ON MAC, PC AND STEAM DECK FROM YOUR GAMECUBE DISC
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem (GameCube) goes native on Mac, Windows and Steam Deck

griches's Eternal Darkness Recomp is a static recompilation of Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem (GameCube, 2002), built with DolRecomp and GXRuntime. It runs natively on Apple silicon Macs, Windows and Linux/Steam Deck, with optional HD textures and HDR. The launcher translates your disc and builds the game on your machine. It moved fast: v0.9.4 and v0.9.5 both landed Oct 19. Only the European disc (GEDP01) is supported, and the installers turn the USA disc away. The same developer also has a separate PS5 version.
You need: Your own image (.iso or .gcm) of the European GameCube disc, GEDP01. The USA disc is not supported. A 7z tool for the optional HD textures.
How to play Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem on PC
- Download the build for your system from the latest release.
- Open the app and drop your European disc image on its window.
- Let it translate the disc and build the game, then play.
