SUPER MARIO GALAXY IN VR: NATIVE PORT LANDS ON META QUEST
Super Mario Galaxy gets a native VR port for Meta Quest, GalaxyQuest v0.1.9 out

GalaxyQuest compiles Super Mario Galaxy natively for Meta Quest 2, 3 and 3S, built on the Petari team's decompilation. You can play it as a 3D diorama in front of you, leaning in to look around planets and aiming at star bits with your own hand, or on a giant virtual 16:9 screen. Each eye renders near the headset's own resolution at 120 Hz through OpenXR. It's not an emulator. The creator says it was made entirely by AI (Claude Opus 5.5 in Claude Code). v0.1.9 shipped Oct 19.
You need: Your own Super Mario Galaxy disc, converted once on your PC, and a Meta Quest 2, 3 or 3S. No game files are included.
How to play Super Mario Galaxy on PC
- Download the latest release and its converter tool.
- Convert your own disc and copy the result to the headset.
