GTA IV NOW RUNS IN YOUR WEB BROWSER: THE XBOX 360 GAME, RECOMPILED FROM YOUR OWN DISC
GTA IV (Xbox 360) now runs in a web browser, recompiled to WebAssembly from your own disc

itzzace has taken Grand Theft Auto IV for Xbox 360 into the web browser: the real game recompiled to WebAssembly and drawn with WebGPU, played from your own disc image. It's built on OZORDI's Liberty Recompiled, vaduur's LibertyRecompAndroid and elripalda's PS5 port, with ReXGlue underneath, and the web port adds its own renderer, keyboard and controller prompts, saves and a loading screen. You run a small local server on your own machine, the first start installs the game into the browser (a few minutes, about 8 GB), and after that it starts in seconds. It plays with keyboard and mouse or a controller. v0.1.8 (3 November) targets slower computers, and v0.1.7 added touch controls. The repo ships no game files.
You need: Your own GTA IV USA Xbox 360 disc as an .iso (no other edition works), Python 3, Chrome or Edge, and about 8 GB of free memory plus 8 GB of browser storage. Safari, Firefox and iPhone/iPad browsers don't work yet. No game files included.
