MARIO KART 8 DELUXE GOES NATIVE ON IPHONE AND MAC, WITH LAN AND ONLINE PLAY
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe gets an unofficial native iOS and macOS port

Developer c22dev has published Mush8, an unofficial native Mach-O port of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for Apple Silicon Macs and iPhones. Because the Switch and Apple Silicon both run arm64, most of the game's own code runs as is: a tool called nxpatch rewrites the few instructions that only work on a Switch, and nxhost stands in for the Switch's Horizon OS and services, turning its NVN graphics into Metal with shaders compiled ahead of time. On iOS, with no JIT, the patched code is linked into the app at build time. Mush8 also adds LAN Play over the internet via lan-play.com servers and a wireless mode for nearby devices. It's source only for now, so you build it yourself with Rust and Xcode. It follows KartPad, which put Mario Kart Wii on phones earlier this month.
You need: An Apple Silicon Mac (macOS 14+) and Xcode 26+, plus your own Switch dump of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: prod.keys, the base game and update 4.0.1 (.nsp). The Booster Course Pass is optional. No game files are included.
