dalves408 has statically recompiled the USA Xbox version of Midway's arcade hockey game NHL Hitz 2003 into a native program: the game's x86 executable is turned into C, then runs on Direct3D 11, XAudio2 and XInput on Windows, and OpenGL and SDL2 on Linux. It uses the xboxrecomp toolkit behind the sp00nznet Burnout 3 recomp on the wire. Version 1.0.3 landed today with the first public Linux build, plus fixes for in-match controller rumble and the sound mix for skates, hits and the puck. Version 1.0.2 added an optional hi-res texture download in Setup, and an F8 toggle for it at 2x render scale or higher. New settings start fullscreen in the original 4:3 at 60 fps. F1 opens the settings overlay. The repo opened on 31 October, and the project also ships packages for RecompLauncher, the hub on the wire. No game data is included.
