Perfect Dark: Recompiled brings the N64 shooter to PC natively, with four-player split screen

n64hub's Perfect Dark: Recompiled is a native PC port of the N64 Perfect Dark (USA, revision 1), built by static recompilation with N64Recomp, N64ModernRuntime and RT64, using symbols from the MIT-licensed Perfect Dark decompilation. The game's MIPS code is translated to C and run natively, not emulated. Per the README the desktop build plays a mission (dataDyne Central - Defection) from briefing to end screen with sound, menus and saves work, and the game draws 59-60 fps in levels. v0.1.1, released Oct 31, adds up to four players with a pad each in Combat Simulator, Co-Operative and Counter-Operative. The creator says almost all of the code was written by AI agents (Claude), directed and play-tested by a person. It's separate from the Xbox 360 Perfect Dark remaster recomp already on our list.
