DIABLO II'S WHOLE GAME RECOVERED AS SOURCE CODE THAT BUILDS AND PLAYS

Redivivus: Diablo II 1.14d recovered as C++ source that builds and plays

jaenster's Redivivus takes Diablo II: Lord of Destruction 1.14d's shipped Game.exe apart function by function and turns it back into C++ that compiles into a working game. Patch 1.14 merged the client, server, map generation, renderers, sound, networking and Blizzard's Storm and Fog libraries into one executable, so this is the whole game. The reverse-engineering was done by hand in Ghidra since 2021; LLMs later sped up typing and crash-hunting. It reaches the menus and plays single player today, but still crashes in longer sessions and Battle.net login doesn't work yet. Not the original source: names and types are reconstructions.
