SOULCALIBUR II HD ONLINE NOW RUNS NATIVELY ON MAC AND PC, NO EMULATOR
Soulcalibur II HD Online: PS3 static recomp runs natively on Mac and PC

n0madic's project runs the PlayStation 3's Soulcalibur II HD Online (PSN release NPUB31366) as a native program instead of emulating it. The game's PowerPC (PPU) and Cell SPU code is translated ahead of time into C/C++ and compiled for your machine on top of sp00nznet's ps3recomp runtime, with Metal on macOS and Vulkan on Windows and Linux. Release 0.2.0 (21 October) lists Apple Silicon Macs and Windows as working; Linux builds but hasn't been run on a real GPU yet. The launcher installs your own copy of the game, translates it and compiles it on your computer, so no game code is ever shipped. It's a rival route to Ring Out, the native port of the GameCube version we covered on 15 October.
You need: Your own PSN copy of Soulcalibur II HD Online (NPUB31366, USA): the game package and its license file; the 01.01 update is optional. Python 3.10+. Nothing from the game or Sony's firmware is in the download.
