PS2 RACER SPLASHDOWN FULLY DECOMPILED, AND THE WHOLE GAME NOW RUNS NATIVE ON LINUX
Splashdown: full matching decompilation of the PS2 racer, with a native Linux port

CoastRedWood's splashdown repo is a matching decompilation of Splashdown (PS2, Rainbow Studios, 2001), NTSC-U version. All 4,356 game functions are matched, and the README says the whole executable rebuilds byte-identically from source, with a stated SHA-1 match. The same sources also build for x86-64 Linux, where the README says the game plays in full at 30 FPS: every track and mode, audio, gamepads, saves and movies. There is no prebuilt release, so you build it yourself. Nothing from the disc is committed: no executable, textures, audio or disassembly.
You need: Linux, the build tools the README lists, and your own dump of the NTSC-U disc (SLUS_202.23): the retail executable and a disc image. No game files included.
How to play Splashdown on PC
- Dump your own disc, then copy the retail executable into baserom/.
- Follow the README to build the Linux port in ports/pc.
- Point the port at your own disc image and play.
